The Moderating Effect of Financial Literacy on the Relationship between Accounts Receivable Management Practices and Growth of SMEs in Kenya

The main objective of this study was to assess the moderating effect of financial literacy on the relationship between Accounts receivable management practices and growth of SME in Kakamega County,Kenya. This study adopted a mixed survey research design. The target population was 5401 registered SMEs under Single Business Permit Registration. Proportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to select 359 SMEs. Primary data was collected using semi-structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS). Analysis of the data collected focused on both the descriptive statistics (trends) and inferential statistics (Pearson Correlation Coefficients and multiple regression coefficients.
